Ecommerce Fulfillment Pricing
One of the common questions that is asked of us is “how does ecommerce fulfillment pricing work?” While many of our competitors post flat pricing tables on their websites, we prefer to consider your special needs (if there are any) in order to provide you with an accurate quote of pricing. Simply put, your ecommerce fulfillment pricing is based on the amount of warehouse space you need in our warehouses, and how many packages or orders we are expected to process every month. The size of your products and the volume of inventory we have to keep on hand in order to avoid the complications of your inventory being out of stock in our warehouse when a customer places an order are what dictates how much space you will need. If you expect to be shipping a large number of orders every month, we will need to keep more stock on hand. If you expect to ship a small number of orders each month, we will not have to keep as much in stock. These two factors make up the majority of the price that you will pay each month, compromised of a fee for the space you use and a fee per package that we process. The reason that we do not put a chart on our website that will quote these prices is due to the fact that we realize that there are special circumstances with nearly every business, and we want to be able to give you a more exact price for consideration without any surprises.
What are special considerations? When you fill out our custom quote form, you provide us with the majority of the information we need in order to understand what special needs you might have. For example, if you have special packaging that you require in order to get your product to your customer safely, it is necessary for us to know that in advance. We also need to know how many products on average your customers order, which will give us a better idea if we will be combining items into one box, multiple boxes or some other method of shipping. If you have created specialized packaging for your products with branding or any other aspect that will make your situation different from someone else, we need to consider it before we quote you a price. Other considerations that need to be taken are if your inventory needs to be temperature controlled, or if there are any other special needs involved in storage or packaging of your products.
Once we have the necessary information about your business and the kinds of shipments we will be expected to fulfill for you, we will be able to give you an accurate price that will consist of your monthly storage fees as well as the fees associated with the fulfillment of each order by our staff. We have no lengthy contracts that you will be held to, which means that if your business grows or shrinks we will be able to accommodate you and adjust your prices accordingly. Ship My Orders strives to be a fluid solution for your fulfillment needs, able to scale with you as your business grows without interruptions to your mechanics. Your ecommerce fulfillment pricing reflects all of your needs in order to always be accurate and expected.
